Our History
Total Driver started in 2004 with Driver Development and Advanced programs for young drivers and companies. The aim for Total Driver remains the same to this day: to prepare drivers in every way for their lifetime of driving experience. In the following years, Total Driver has developed a number of programs including Boot camp adventures, corporate events and most importantly, our ‘Safer Driver’ program for young drivers today.
As the business grew, Total Driver took on Darlington Park and successfully implemented the Race Experience, “A day in the life of your hero.” Their clients included Diagio with Bundaberg Rum, Landrover and Ford. Performance, Advanced Driving and their own sprint series quickly followed as the business developed and grew.
In 2005, the safer driver went from theory to practice with their first phase of program development. A successful pilot was implemented over a three year period from 2006. During this period, national programs were facilitated for companies such as Triple Eight Racing and Dominos Pizza.
The school programs were developed in 2007 and trialed through Helensvale High School and their Special Education unit, CTC, construction training, Yeronga High School and more.
In 2009, Total Driver formed a relationship with Global businessman and entrepreneur Dr. Tom McKaskill who helped with the understanding of the business and development of the whole business model. Dr. McKaskill introduced Gene to businessmen inspired for change and to make a difference. This has provided Total Driver with business acumen, financial security, strong networks and solid sustainable growth plans.
