Total Driver is about educating today's driver about their vehicle. Dynamic, design and function limitations. We educate in modern active and passive safety systems, how to use these systems for the intention for which they were designed, for the protection and preservation of life.
Total Driver have designed unique simulators exclusive for our courses. We deploy airbags in slow controlled circumstances to illustrate how poor posture and seating can cause horrific injuries. Our lectures are all by electronic visual presentation, with this we can visually illustrate modern ABS and vehicle stability programs.
We illustrate the influences on the driver and how our natural reactions as human beings are the exact opposite of what the vehicle requires to maintain control. Our brain has excellent abilities for our natural speed in our natural environment. However in our new environments our natural means for preservation is what causes us to loose control. We call this reflex action, but in a motor vehicle this is an uncontrolled over reaction, when what we need is a controlled reaction. To achieve this our techniques address biomechanics of a driver, to minimise excessive, unnecessary movements reducing fatigue and cutting reaction times.
Total Driver is a group of highly trained professional instructors, we are more than instructors we are also automotive technicians, engineers, stunt and movie drivers, driver trainers and motorsport competitors. All instructors have formal qualifications including Certificate IV Workplace Assessment and Training.
